Points forts du jour: départ de Frank et Francis ; châteaux en Bavière
Ce matin, Frank et Francis quittent Grainau pour rentrer à Berlin, fin de ces supers vacances ensemble !
This morning, Frank and Francis leave Grainau to go back to Berlin, end of these great holidays together!
Avant de quitter Grainau, on s’achète de quoi faire un pique-nique, et on fait quelques photos (juste à temps pour le train !).
Before leaving Grainau, we buy a picnic and we take some more pictures (right on time for the train !).
Puis départ vers le château de NEUSCHWANSTEIN, en Bavière près de la frontière autrichienne. Il a été construit par Louis II de Bavière à la fin du XIXe siècle. Ce château est très célèbre, il y a un monde fou ! Il a inspiré Walt Disney pour son château de Cendrillon. On ne l’a pas visité, on a fait une grande boucle à pied pour le voir de l’extérieur.
Then we go to the NEUSCHWANSTEIN castle, in Bavaria next to the Austrian border. It was built by Ludwig II at the end of the XIXs century. This castle is very famous, there are a lot of tourists! It inspired Walt Disney for his Cinderella castle. We didn’t visit it, we hiked around.
Juste en face, il y a un autre château : HOHENSCHWANGAU, construit par Maximilien de Bavière (père de Louis II) au milieu du XIXe siècle.
Just in front of it, there’s another castle : HOHENSCHWANGAU, built by Ludwig’s father Maximilian in the middle of the XIXs century.
On est allé ensuite faire notre pique-nique au bord d’un lac SCHWANSEE, à environ 2km à pied du château, c’est beaucoup plus calme et avec une belle vue sur le château!
We then had our picnic next to a lake: SCHWANSEE, 2km from the castle. It’s beautiful, very quiet and with nice views of the castle.
Puis on part à EGG, en Autriche. Arrivée à notre hôtel vers 16h30. Il y a plusieurs bâtiments, tout en bois, au milieu des alpages. C’est magnifique et très calme. Après un petit tour à pied, Pierre va nager un moment (piscine extérieure chauffée, dehors il fait 15…). Diner à l’hôtel, puis balade pour voir les magnifiques couleurs avec le coucher du soleil.
Then we go to EGG. We arrive at the hotel at 4:30. There are several wood buildings, in the middle of the alpine meadows ; this is wonderful and very quiet. After a little walk, Pierre goes to the heated outside pool (15 degrees outside…). Diner at the hotel, then a walk to see the amazing sunset colors.
