Points forts du jour: belle randonnée et journée sans voiture !
Vue de notre hôtel ce matin: ça change !
On part à pied ce matin, avec du soleil ! On va jusqu’à la petite gare de Grainau, en passant par la forêt et au bord d’un petit lac; on prend un train à crémaillère.
We walk this morning, with a nice sunshine ! We go to the little train station of Grainau, via a forest path and a small lake; we take a train on a rack-railway.
2 stations et on arrive à la gare où se trouve le téléphérique. On ne peut pas accéder au Zugspitze (fermé jusqu’à ce soir), mais on peut accéder au ALPSPITZE. Ce sommet est à 2600m, le téléphérique s’arrête à 2000m. La montée est très impressionnante : le début est au-dessus des sapins, mais après on monte rapidement et on se retrouve au-dessus du vide.

2 stations later, we arrive next to the cable car. We can’t go up to the Zugspitze (closed till tonight), but we can go up to the ALPSPITZE: 2600m high, the cable car stops at 2000m. The way up is very impressive: it begins above the trees, but after we are rapidly above emptiness …
Arrivés en haut, on va voir la vue sur 2 plateformes (ALPSPIX) incroyables au-dessus du vide et avec en plus beaucoup de vent. Elles font 24m de long, et bougent avec le vent !
When we arrive, we go on 2 incredible platforms (ALPSPIX- 24m long), which move with the wind!
Puis on va marcher : d’abord sur un petit sentier où on marche dans la neige; puis un grand sentier qui descend vers un autre sommet: KREUZECK (1650m). De là, on redescend dans la vallée avec des oeufs. On s’est bien organisés car au moment de redescendre il recommence à pleuvoir.
Then we go hiking: first on a small path which is covered in snow at some points ; then a larger path which goes down to the KREUZECK (1650m). From there we go back down to the valley with another cable car. We are lucky because as soon as we begin to go back down, it begins to rain again.
On reprend le petit train direction GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN. On déjeune dans un resto Afghan (eh oui ça change !) très bon, puis on fait un petit tour dans le centre (il pleut toujours) et on rentre en train.
We take the train again to GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN. We have lunch in a very good Afghan restaurant (for a change!), then we walk around in the center of town (it still rains), and we go back to the hotel by train.
Pierre et Frank retournent à la piscine/sauna. Je prend un thé et j’écris ces quelques lignes ! Diner dans un restaurant du village, dernier diner ensemble pour ces super vacances…
Pierre and Frank go back to the swimming pool/sauna. I take a tea and write ! We have diner in a local restaurant, last diner together for these great holidays…
